Hi There! This blog will no longer have any new post or activities. Please click here to go to my NEW blog, as I've depleted all the memory on this one. I hope to see you there! I will, however, continue to keep this blog up, as there are tons of ideas and tutorials that you may want to search through. Impossible lunch date & a card for Allison's challenge

With our busy, busy work schedules, we're finding it harder and harder to have some spare time to take a decent lunch hour with each other. Darcie, Jean C. and I used to be able to meet once a month for lunch and share a couple of projects. Seems like now days, we can only squeeze time to meet quarterly! Well, I guess we take what we can get huh. We were finally able to squeeze in a girlfriend lunch hour this past week so I wanted to share with you the projects that we did. Before I share that, I wanted to share with you this beautiful project Darcie created for her wedding favors. She decorated DVD tins using SU's four seasons designer series paper. Here's the front of the tin. Darcie loves snowflakes, so that's the reason why she used it for her cover. Look at all of the details - good gracious girlfriend, you are crazy!!Here's the inside of the tin. On the left (green) it's a pocket and a bookmark in the pocket. To the right (yellow) she has a 2008 calendar pasted in there with the date of her wedding marked (Feb 2).

Here's the back of the tin. OMG, I can't believe that she made over 100 of these babies. Although I didn't attend her wedding, I was a lucky recipient of one of these cool favors! Thanks Darcie.

Here's the project I brought to share. Another joyfold card. I know, I'm on this joyfold card kick - sorry if you're sick of seeing these cards! I promise to learn a new card so I can move onto something else :) I just had to ink up my new stamp by Elzybells that I bought from Cute Stuff. Other ingredients for this card: almost amethyst, lovely lilac and certainly celery cardstock, I'm using up the papers from the sampler bought last year some time and Cutie Pie DS papers. Ribbon I got from cousin Pam (thanks!), SAB stamp from So Many Scallops and the center is from the hostess level 1 set called Make it Count. I'm also gonna submit this to Allison's Stampin' When I can card challenge. She challenged everyone to make a girly card (girl stamps). Check out Allison's fun blog here for the latest and greatest links and her awesome work! (Hi Alli!)
Here's the project Jean brought to share. Jean is a CTMH consultant and where I get all of my CTMH goodies from. Isn't this card cute?? Reminds me of the criss cross card.
Here's a view of the card inserted in the pocket. Cute, huh!?! Thanks ladies for a fun lunch hour! Hopefully it won't be three months before we can get together again!!

Thanks for stopping in today!!

These are all great (love those pocket cards!) but I must comment on the Elzybells card, right? Hee hee!

She is super sweet with great colors (I love all of the colors you chose here). Thanks for playing!

All the projects were cute and thoughtful ... the wedding favor was labor intensive - guess she could have even used something like that for her wedding invitation. I like how you combined the Elzbella stamp with the SAB set since the E stamp is tiny, and the criss cross card is next on my list. Thanks for sharing.
