CD holder tutorial

I've been looking high and low for the tutorial to make this CD holder. One of my DL, Becky (Hi Becky!) was planning to do a class with this as one of the projects. I've made these holders before and actually, it's been a while. Anyway, I finally decided to just do a tutorial on this. Here's the finished project. Since it's been a while that I made one of these, I have since adapted a little change to the original project. I incorporated using the closure on this holder in the same fashion as the baby card that I just posted.
Step 1. Cut your 8 1/2" X 11" cardstock at 5" and then at 3". There will be the 1/2" strip remaining and you can just discard that.
Step 2. Score 3" on both ends of the 5" X 11"cardstock.
Step 3. Score 3" on each side of the 3" X 11" cardstock.
Step 4. Roller wheel your design on both pieces.
Step 5. Adhere the 3"X 11" piece horizontally over the 5" X 11" vertically like the photo. Then, using your 1 3/8" circle punch, punch a half circle. This notch is so you can take the CD out of the pocket easier. (Sorry that in this photo, I didn't have the CS rollered...I was trying to figure this out first when I took the pic!)
Add double sided tape (sticky strip) to one side only as indicated as shown by the arrow. Close the right flap first and seal with the left (the flap that has the adhesive).
Place adhesive on the entire back of that pocket as shown.
Take off backing and adhere pocket to the body of the holder.
I stamped the elephant from the Nursery Necessities stamp set on very vanilla cardstock measuring 2" X 2 1/4". The chocolate chip cardstock is cut at 2 1/4" X 2 1/2". I used my nestabilities scallop rectangle to cut out the regal rose cardstock ( final size 2 1/2" X 3 1/4"). I used 4 dimensionals as shown here and adhered to the regal rose piece.
I used 3 dimensionals on the regal rose piece lined up on the bottom only.
Place the elephant piece as shown. The top flap of the holder will be tucked under the elephant piece and will hold it close.
Here's another view of the finished project! Have fun!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Pretty in pink, very vanilla, regal rose, chocolate chip
Stamp set: Nursery Necessities
Jumbo roller: Nursery Letters with pretty in pink jumbo roller cartridge
Ink: chocolate chip, regal rose
Accessories: Rectangle scallop nestabilities die and vanilla 5/8" grosgrain ribbon
Oh-oh! Looks like trouble here. Mochiko just loves to lick water from the bath tub.
Busted, girl! We now keep the shower door closed since Nolan found her sitting in the tub.
Thanks for popping by today. I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial. This one's for you, Becky!

Cool CD holder! And my cat Jax sits in the shower and licks it, too. Weird yeah?

I am trying to do this, but step 2 and step 3 are confusing. Steps 2 says score 3" from both ENDS, step 3 says score 3" on each SIDE. But the photos appear that you are scoring 3" along the shortest side of each piece of cardstock. Otherwise, cute project.

Love this CD holder tutorial. Whenever my cat gets in the tub, I always let the tap drips for her to take a sip. Some cats like to drink water while is running! TFS
