Celebration - Day 4

How are you liking my blogaversary gifts?? Today's candy is a clear stamp set by Close to my Heart, chipboard flower, Doodlebug ribbon and soft spoken stickers...
Today, I'd like to know if you like to use stamps that are wood mounted or
stamps that use the acrylic blocks. For me, as much as I love the clear stamps or stamps that are backed with the EZ foam and used with acrylic blocks, I truly love my wood stamps...but here's my confession...I own lots of both!! haha!

Hello Teri!!

I have some wooden stamps, from years ago, but still like the image. Now, I prefer clear stamps. Easy to stock, easy to use!

what a sweet week you're having :)

i'm just like you - i LOVE my woodmounts, but own lots of acrylic mount as well. i don't really buy based on mount any more - if i like the stamp, i buy it regardless. i'd say Kim Hughes really was the factor that started my unmounted purchases. LOVE her stuffl.

I believe I own over 500 wood mounted stamps cuz that's all there was way back when I was collecting them! I like the "new" kind you mount yourself because they take up so little space to store... But I still love the wood mounted ones with the images stamped on the wood...easier to find!

WoW this is some sweet candy. I'm lovin all the celebration candy you are celebrating with!! I have a lot of wood mounted stamps and running out of room, I do have clear stamps too. I really love all stamps. (teehee) I like clear stamps when it comes to lining up or 2 steps or more stamping, cuz you can see where you're stamping. Thanks for a chance.

I have a lot of acrylic ones but I sometimes don't have the right size blocks so it makes stamping difficult at times, however since I'm new to stampin up I've purchased several (a lot) of sets and I like the wood blocks too, except that I get the wood inked up :(

I don't have too many acrylic stamps but I like it because you can see what you're stamping but I don't always get a good impression - love the wooden stamps too.

Hey Teri, The blogiversary candies are sooooo tasty! You rock, baby! ;-)
I use both stamps - wood mounted and rubber. I don't prefer one over the other, for they each have their own pluses and minuses, don't they!?

Hi Teri-

I have tons of wood mounted from years past but buy both today. It just depends on the design. Lack of space, unfortunately, doesn't stop me. ;-)

Wow thanks for the chance to win this set...so sweet! Have lots of both. Woods stamp "firmer" but should the ink get on the wood, there's no cleaning it off. The rubber images w/foam are great: it's easier to position, store & clean. Also, cheaper than woods!
Lastly: HAPPY BLOGAVERSARY!!!

I like the acrylic better, it makes it easier to see where you are stamping. Plus, now more companies are coming out with cute designs in the acrylic.

I love the impression that wood mounted rubber stamps give however clear stamps are wonderful for sentiments or lining up alphas! In my opinion clear stamps don't seem to give as much of a crisp image that you get from rubber. laura j

Like you and most others, Teri, I have tons of both, but I much prefer the clear stamps and acrylic blocks. My only hope is that SU! doesn't give in and switch to unmounted stamps/ I love SU! designs so much, I'd never have room for all of them! LOL Judie

I used wood stamps when I first started stamping but now i've started getting into clear stamps. They're just so easy to store and so much cheaper. Although, like you I still love my wood stamps =) Thanks for doing all this!

I like both wood-mounted and clear stamps for different reasons. I prefer the designs on the wood-mounted stamps but the clear stamps are easier to store and take up less space. However, if I had to choose--I'd pick the wood for designs
