Hi There! This blog will no longer have any new post or activities. Please click here to go to my NEW blog, as I've depleted all the memory on this one. I hope to see you there! I will, however, continue to keep this blog up, as there are tons of ideas and tutorials that you may want to search through. March Class Photos - Boxes Part II

Here are the rest of the boxes that we made last weekend. This is one of my favorites. Sizzix XL die caled Box #2 (so original!). Box cut out in Kiwi Kiss cardstock (thanks Dad for cutting them!) and a band that goes around the box stamped randomly using my new favorite set called Fifth Avenue Floral...so pretty! Bordering blue cardstock backs the floral strip. We used the SU sizzix butterfly die and embellished it with pearls from the Pretties kit. Ribbon is brocade blue 5/8" grosgrain.Making this gable box was fun. You can find the instructions on splitcoast stampers. We used Tangerine Tango cardstock and stamped the front using Garden Greetings. Old olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon threaded through holes made by the crop-a-dile (my least favorite tool for the time being).
Cute acetate box. Baja breeze cardstock and Bella Blue DP. Very vanilla taffeta ribbon. I got the instructions for this box also from splitcoast stampers. The acetate I used was bought at Fisher Hawaii, they are report book covers and to me, just the perfect weight. The 8 1/2" X 11 piece can cut three of these boxes (3 1/2" x 8 1/4"), price was right too (only 40 cents/piece).
The final box we made is called a Ghiradelli box. Another splitcoast instruction here! This box can fit 3 ghiradelli square chocolates and so easy to make! We used chocolate chip cardstock for the main color and the DP that we used was Bella Birds. This sample was made using DP Hawaii Papaya, which is now retired. How come I don't have a sample with the stuff we actually used?? Sorry about that...the stamp set we used is called Say it with Scallops and is the set that benefits the Ronald McDonald House. I just love this set!!
Here's a look at how the box opens up. To close, tuck the flap under the square, which is held at the bottom using two dimensionals.
TGIF! Happy Friday to you all! I'm still trying to catch up on my posting and will probably do that this weekend. I'm working on Easter goodies now and as much as I love those Hello Kitty Easter dies, they are driving me crazy. These old eyes are not cooperating with all of those tiny pieces I need to cut out!!
Thanks for coming by today! Your visits and comments makes me so happy!

As usual I am impressed by your projects. These boxes are extra cute especially because you used 3 of the stamp sets that I really like on them.
