Hi There! This blog will no longer have any new post or activities. Please click here to go to my NEW blog, as I've depleted all the memory on this one. I hope to see you there! I will, however, continue to keep this blog up, as there are tons of ideas and tutorials that you may want to search through. May Class - Part 1

This month, we made 6 cards. Three graduation cards and three wedding cards. Here are the first 2 cards - graduation. I was really ready for a new graduation stamp set and I LOVE what SU is offering us in the new Summer mini catalog. This set is called Go Graduate (118519 wood, 120054 clear). I textured a small portion on the card front using the embossing folder called Square Lattice (119976). Here's the inside of the card. The mini envelope sizzix die was added to the inside of the card, perfect for some moolah for the graduate.
Additional supplies:
Cardstock: chocolate chip, old olive, whisper white, brilliant blue, summer sun
Accessories: large and small star punch, scallop and large oval punch, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, soft suede grosgrain ribbon, word window punch.
This card was the last one that I came up with. I just don't know why this simple idea didn't pop into my head earlier. I'm loving this single stamp called Happy Grad (117006) also in the summer mini catalog. I rolled up a small piece of printer paper and added a small black ribbon tied in a knot to represent a diploma. Added some texture to the card front using the perfect polka dot embossing folder.
Here's the inside, another simple idea. You could always change up the colors according to the school of the graduate.
Thanks for stopping by today. I will be posting more cards from my May class tomorrow!
