Hi There! This blog will no longer have any new post or activities. Please click here to go to my NEW blog, as I've depleted all the memory on this one. I hope to see you there! I will, however, continue to keep this blog up, as there are tons of ideas and tutorials that you may want to search through. August 2010 Class Projects - the rest of it!

OMG, my apologies for being so tardy in posting these projects for the ladies who have kits to go. The only excuse I can share is that I drove myself crazy getting ready for the big social gathering this past weekend as you probably saw on some of the creative team's blogs...those photos will come later as I need to share these photos first! And after all of that madness, my son got sick and we already made a couple trips to the doctor. He is on his way to recovery, thank goodness, but in the mean time, Mom here was drained even more. Only so much my tiny body can handle, know what I mean? I've kind of lost my mojo in the process, so after a couple of posts, I might be taking a short break to find my mojo and to catch up with some things like Thank you notes and birthday cards that I've been trying to do! If only I had more time in a day to do these things! Okay, enough blabbing and onto my class projects! This will be a long make up post, so go get a snack and a cup of coffee before you start reading (wink!)
I love this cute little purse that we made as our "bonus" project. The funny little story behind this one (short story) is that I bought this XL sizzix die when it first came out and had the hardest time putting it all together because the bottom was round. Then, when I went to my upline's house for a Hana Hou party, she had this cute little purse as one of our projects and I knew that I needed that die! Oh, I didn't tell you that I had sold the original die to my friend because I hated it back then...*sigh* Here's the front view. We used one of the extra flowers from the first project I showed you in my last post. Used taffeta ribbon - can you believe that this is the early expresso color? I imagined it was going to be darker. Here's the back
and a side view. The inside is a 5X7 piece of cardstock...I'll have to share that with you on another post...want a mini tutorial? Let me know here!
We made a cute matchbox and this time, embossed the outside of the box, so pretty! Love the new lace that SU is selling. The cute mini tag was not on my wish list, but when I saw this sample in the SU catty, I knew I had to have it!
A while ago, I bought the Sizzix Big Shot Pro (from J's) and I'm so glad that I did. Here, I cut out the tall bag with Concord Crush (new in color) and embossed it with one of SU's newest embossing folder called Vintage Wallpaper, it's so elegant! Used pink taffeta ribbon to close the bag and the cute owl punch...I love this owl!
Side view of the bag
Sorry that this was such a long post...I owed it to you! Thanks so much for stopping in today. I'm also sorry that my mojo is lost somewhere and I can't find it, so if you see it, send it back to me!
There's alot going on in my little world here and I can't seem to find the right balance lately. I've even considered closing my blog because I can't keep up with the posting. And then I think about YOU, my friends, and faithful readers who have supported me through this wonderful three and a half year journey and don't want to disappoint you. I will let you know what I decide...I was told to not be hasty so I will think it over and let you all know! Thanks for all of your love and support!

Hi Teri, love the projects. They are so cute.

I look forward to updates to your blog. I love looking at the projects and reading about some of what is going on with you. I would miss your blog if you were to close it but you do need to do what is best for yourself. No one should have more pressure than necessary and one's well being is the most important. I would certainly understand if you feel you needed to close your bog although I would miss it. Take care.

Such cute projects Teri! I need to bust out my bag die too- Its been gathering dust...

Well, all I can say is I hope you don't end your blog! I look forward to seeing your projects and finding out what you've been up to. You've really inspired me over the past year with all of your talent and willingness to share. But you also need to do what's right for you. If you do decide to end it... hopefully you'll find time later to start it up again. Regardless, I'm glad I found your blog and eventually got to meet you! Thanks for inspiring all of us to be more creative!

TFS all of your projects, Teri, but please take some time for some R&R. The holidays are coming up soon so rest and relax, find your mojo, take care of your family and you'll be ok for 2011.

Hey Teri, let me know if there's anything I can help you with. You are such a kind-hearted person always taking care of others before yourself...but do take sometime for yourself as well. I wish you the best!

Wonderful projects Teri, you are always a HUGE inspiration to me! Glad your son is doing better but sounds like you need a little R&R for yourself. I often wonder how you do it all, it's amazing what you do. Your mojo is not lost, it's just taking a needed rest. Take care. Big hugs!

Thanks for taking time to write this post as well as all your other great posts with very creative projects. I look forward to looking at your posts each day. They always put a smile on my face. I understand how time consuming blogging can be. I often struggle with it too. That is why I don't post everyday. I know that's bad. I would kind of understand where you are coming from in wanting to close your blog down. I would understand if you did, but of course would be pretty sad at the same time. If I find your mojo I will let you know. Your son continues to be in my prayers. Take care!

First & foremost, Take care of yourself. With your hectic schedule, anybody's mojo would be stymied. And to the degree that you post, it's like a full time job! Whatever you share, it's most appreciated ~ your sense of style & creativity. So take your time, regain your sense of balance. And whenever you choose to post - or not - we'll be right there to cheer you on. Thanks for always sharing yourself!

I've sometimes wondered how you manage to do everything that you do. You've always been an inspiration to me, but your health is way more important. Please take care of yourself.

Teri, As an alternative you could not post as often, maybe just once a week and keep the topic to only crafting. We all enjoy your blog so much and I personally, put it up there with the Founder's Circle gals, so hopefully you can find a way to relieve some of the pressure and continue sharing your craft. Also, I love the basket die and have even done a class with it, so the directions for the new style would be great when you find the time. Again, we all really care about you and you have touched our lives more than you will ever know. You are one of the sweetest blogger I know of. Donna

Hi Teri,
Thank you for a great event on Sat., what a success it was! I can appreciate all the work that went into the planning. Life it too short so you have to do what makes you happy and gives you joy. Sometimes what starts out as fun can turn into something bigger that creates more stress and pressure. This happened to me when a hobby turned into a small business. The result was I got burnt out. I'm sure your friends and followers only want the best for you and will understand whatever your final decision ends up to be. BTW, your projects are beautiful and that Concord Crush is more stunning than I thought.

First take care of yourself and the family. I do enjoy hearing from you but life happens and time is short. What about a Saturdays with Teri Time! You could have it all set and run it on schedule or another day whatever is best. Keeping you in my thoughts and sending you hugs!

My dear sweet Teri, it really brought tears to my eyes reading this post. You have always shared your creative talent with so many wonderful projects and your classes with the gals. I understand where you are coming from as I've been there before. But before you make any decisions, sit back a while, take a short break, or don't feel you have to keep up. You have so much on your plate because you want to help others and teach others, and do nice things for everyone. You share so much of yourself relentlessly and the perfect example was the Summer Social 2. Your followers would miss seeing your talent so pace yourself so you can always be here. Everyone needs a break and life happens. I wish I could help more but this is something you have to decide what's best for you. Love you, Girl! You're dynamite in a small package. Hugs and Love, Cami

Love all of these projects, sister!! Adorable... and that owl is starting to warm me up!! As for life things, take a breather and take a break... and be refreshed when you come back! We will all be here for you when you return. Hang in there. You move too quick and need to take a break once in a while. Be encouraged in knowing that in whatever you do, the Lord is holding your hand and guiding you along the way. Take His hand and run with Him... =0) I will keep you in my prayers, dear!!

{{{Big Hugs}}}

Love,
Jen
