Another candy wrapper!

I was in the mood to create another candy wrapper. I didn't use a chocolate bar this time. I found these Loacker brand sandwich wafers on sale at Longs Drugs 3 for 99 cents. They're yummy too (the dark chocolate ones). The size of the wafers was smaller than the chocolate bar so I had to adjust the size of the cardstock...I wanted to buy more of the chocolate, but the price zoomed back up to $1.59 per bar! I've notice that there's been a price increase in just about EVERYTHING! It's getting harder to buy frivolous stuff, ha! Here are my measurements: pretty in pink cardstock 7" X 4 1/2". Scored the lines at 1 3/4", 2 1/2" then I turned the paper around and scored on the other side 1 1/2" and 2 1/4". Used the horizontal hole punch to make the holes. Note: the cardstock is so thick! How I did this was insert the punch at the place you want to make the hole through all layers of the project (I didn't glue down the image and mat just yet) and press hard to make an indention in the cardstock. These are markers for you to follow. Punch the hole through the single layers, easier on the hands! To punch the back side of the wrapper (the side with the seam, follow the same directions. This works for me. Here's the finished wrapper. This time I used the images from "Wild About You" set. I just noticed that I didn't need to color anything on this project, so I am submitting it to Allison's Suggestive Sunday challenge. No coloring, only stamping.

While I was on a roll, I decided to make a matching card. I had a bunch of card bases left over from when I was on my Merci card kick. I used my rectangle nesties die and light pink satin ribbon.

Hey! Two posts in one day! Happy Thursday everyone! If you live in Hawaii, I hope the vog doesn't affect you too much. For me, it makes my throat sore and my throat is so scratchy today!! Guess I'll be indoors in the air con...Thank you for visiting!!

Hi Teri - this is an excellent stamp to use - no coloring. I love how you used it for the card. Finally tried out the polka dot CB folders and just love it. Makes me want to buy the stamp set now - hope it's not retired.

Aloha Teri!

So very nice! Love them both! I've always wanted to make one of those candy wrapper cards, but could never quite figure it out right. Let alone have the time or patience.
