Little C's Weekly Challenge #7

I decided to do this week's LCWC as a scrapbook page layout. It just seemed like a good sketch for a page. Here's the sketch that we are following this week - another great sketch from Julee Tilman from poetic artistry, go over and check out her blog HERE.

I started off using paper from American Crafts. I had this paper in my stash for a year (at least!). I love that it already had the word "GIRLFRIEND" already printed on it and I just loved the color combo used.

The designer paper is also from American Crafts. I just loved the purses on it! Other CS that I used to layer the photo, a dotted DP also from AC, green bazzill CS and Chocolate chip CS from SU. I love layers!
This photo was taken last year at my BFF Wini's house where she got the girls together to celebrate my birthday. It was a fun girl's night out with yummy food, wonderful projects and just good fun! Here, we are eating our ice cream in cups that Jen personalized for us!
Here's a close-up of the tag that I covered with DP matching one of the layers. After I adhered the paper on, I sandpaper to sand the edges just a little. This chipboard tag is from a collection of chipboard pieces by We R Memory Keepers. I got these cool chipboard pieces from Little C's a while back. Not sure if they are still in stock. Used a jumbo eyelet (SU) and apple green grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment "Let's Party" is a sticker from EK Success and the flowers are from a SU flower punch and of course, the bling.
Here's a shot of the curve in the layout. I originally thought that using the rhinestones was going to be a good idea, but it didn't stand out like I thought it would. After I started glueing down the stones, it was too late to change my mind, oh well!

Check out what the other Little C's DT gals did for this week's challenge:

Remember, if you'd like to play this week, follow the sketch to create your masterpiece and upload your link to Jen at her blog, Pieces of Me. We'd love to see what you come up with! The winner gets a little something!

Time to end this post. I'm feeling under the weather, well, it finally caught up to me and I am sick. Sore throat, runny nose, the works! Dad had to go back to the hospital at midnight last night because he was running a fever which means that something was not right! So, I didn't sleep the whole night as we were in the ER all night as they ran tests and finally had to call my sister so she could relieve me to go home to get some sleep. I couldn't really sleep well at all as I was so uncomfortable. Dad is going for a procedure tomorrow to drain the fluids he is retaining, which is the cause of the fever. He is in good spirits and is as comfortable as he can be. I feel relieved because I know he's in good hands in the hospital as I try to recuperate so I can take care of him when he comes home. Hope you all had a nice holiday today.

Teri, both you and your dad will be in my prayers. I hope that the both of you will be better soon.
What are you doing out of bed making a scrapbook page? Even when you are sick you are still able to make such great pages. :) My pages don't look that good even when I am well. :)
