Hi There! This blog will no longer have any new post or activities. Please click here to go to my NEW blog, as I've depleted all the memory on this one. I hope to see you there! I will, however, continue to keep this blog up, as there are tons of ideas and tutorials that you may want to search through. April 2009 class projects, Part 1

Aloha Monday! Here are 3 of the 7 projects we did this month at class. This class was a tri-fold (or cards with folds) and money cards class. Here's the first card; a money card and a simple one too!A close up view of the band
It opens up where you can put some money for the graduate inside. Belly band to hold the card closed.
Supplies:
Stamp set: Great Grads
Cardstock: pumpkin pie, chocolate chip, old olive, summer sun
Inks: chocolate chip
Accessories: large star punch, small star punch, 1 3/4" circle punch

Here's another money card. I love this pull card. You can make it any size you want to. I featured the new Manhattan Flower embossing folder, so pretty! I lightly sponged Baja Breeze ink over the embossed flower to add some softness to it.
This is what it looks like when you pull on the ribbon. I used the slit punch to hold the money in place.
I love the new scallop oval punch and the stamps in the Oval All set that coordinates with it!
Supplies:
Stamp set: Oval All
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, chocolate chip, very vanilla
Inks: Baja breeze, chocolate chip
Accessories: Manhattan Flower embossing folder, scallop oval punch, crop-a-dile, slit punch, 3/8" chocolate organdy ribbon

This is a gate fold card with a belly band to keep it closed.
Here's what it looks like opened. I'm in love with this color combo! The flower on the band is not a new sizzix die. In fact, it's an old one! The DSP that I used for the flower was one of the patterns that was my least favorite in the paper pack. It made a pretty flower! Rhinestone brad in the center of the flower completed the look.
Supplies:
Stamp set: Great Friend
Cardstock: Baja breeze, night of navy
Ink: not quite navy
Accessories: Sizzix flower daisies #2, marvy giga scallop circle punch, rhinestone brads, glue dots, scor-pal.
Stay tuned for Part 2. The rest of the cards and our bonus project! If you ordered a kit, they are all done and will be sent out this week! Sorry for the delay!
Wishing you a wonderful start to a new week!
