Shopping is such a girly thing!

Shopping! What girl doesn't like to shop?? I love to shop even if it means only window shopping, or shopping with a girlfriend and letting her do the buying and you accompany her and get to touch all of the merchandise without spending a dime! haha! Yesterday, Cheryl and I spent our lunch hour at Ala Moana. After our yummy philly steak sandwiches, we browsed at many stores!! We ended up stopping at Cinnamon Girl and just had to pose by these pretty flowers! So spring! Of course, we had to take not only one but two pics of us! Good thing the store was empty so we asked the sales associate to snap the shots for us. Cheryl had to test out her new camera -- in fact, we both bought the same Panasonic camera on the same day!!

After the pic was taken, we browsed at all of the cute accessories and saw this cute swim suit...love the top! Probably because it was pink! I think I'll need to look for something a little more conservative for the cruise. Cheryl found the perfect top for her...Miss Double Diva...We had a ball and as usual, I didn't want to go back to work!!

but seriously ladies...I know you didn't just come to the blog to see cheryl and I shopping, right? So, here's a Layout of my son Nolan riding his bike back to our house. Can you tell he was having a blast?? I did this LO other night. I miss scrapping so bad but can hardly find the time!! This LO was done with scrap paper by Wild Asparagus that I bought from Once Upon a Blue Moon when Tammy was having her 70% off sale as she moved her store location. Wini, Irene and I scored at the awesome sale prices! Here's my layout...

Happy Friday to you all...enjoy the weekend!! It's raining here in Waimanalo right now, so hopefully, we will have a "sunny" weekend...
hugs & kisses!

The Easter Bunny will be early

Easter Sunday is April 8th! Is it early this year??? I guess the Easter Bunny better hurry up and make her goodies to share...After I checked out Sensational J's blog and saw her awesome altered can, I couldn't stop thinking about making one. Then, before I went to bed last night, I was flipping through my new CK mag and saw the cutest easter basket. Ding! The lightbulb went off and I ran to the kitchen to collect those empty cereal containers to create! Voila! Here's what I came up with:

I covered the container with the Petals & Paisley designer paper from SU and also used the stamp set Bunny Hugs...love that bunny! You all gotta let me know what you think...the only problem now is that I only have a total of 5 of these containers...haha! I don't think Nolan can eat tons of cereal before Easter! Oh well...I'm sure I'll find something else to decorate!
I'm so excited to have add another sister blogger on my blog...you gotta check out Jean's stamping spot and if you already haven't checked out Sensational J's (for Jen!) blog...this blog has a TON of action going on...swaps, online shopping, gallery...I'm so jealous! If scrapping is your thing, check out Cheryl's blog...Life is Sweet. The album she posted is just too cute. I actually saw it up close and personal today during our lunch date. Oh! BTW, stay posted for some fun pics we took at Ala Moana...Cheryl? waiting for the pics!

Blogging Obsession? Is it just a phaze???

What is with this blogging thing that makes not only me so obsessed with?? I guess it might be that I love to talk...so when I can't actually speak to someone face to face, it's good to get it out and blab online...maybe one day I will get tired of it, but for now, I'm just having fun. The other thing I love about blogs...I love ready other people's blogs, especially those that post pictures of projects they've just created, or stuff they get from RAK swaps, etc. I love this blog site and thanks to my sistah, Sensational J (love the new name girl)...for getting me really into these blogs!! She's the "master" behind most of what you see here, but I'm learnng!!!
I was asked if I'm gonna keep both blogs, yes, I have two...I do know people that have more than two (J???) but why not?, it's free and most importantly FUN! Check out My Place on scrapbook.com I love that site as well and the projects posted in that gallery, very inspiring! I've already met a bunch of nice gals on that site. I'd love to have more friends, so join me on either site - or both! Drop me a comment! Have a happy Wednesday!

Starting off to a fresh new week!

Happy Tuesday! I have to remember that it's Tuesday because we had the holiday off yesterday. Yes! for some of us lucky people, yesterday was Kuhio Day! I've been out of work for week now since having bronchitis all last week. Boy!, was I miserable! I'm actually happy to be going back to work. Crazy, huh!??! I'm NOT anxious to see the mountains of work that's just waiting for me! Well, it's a stay in all day kind of day. Brought my lunch and everything so I don't have to go out. Maybe if I take a short break, I'll work on my swaps for the cruise. I'll be cutting out flowers to go on my cover of the mini books I'm making. Only have to make 75 of them! Here's what it looks like...
Later this week, I'll show you what the insides of my own sample book will look like. I put pictures in my book.
Well, gotta get ready to go to work...XO

Spring Projects!

Today's class was very comfy as there were only 6 ladies! We learned new techniques making five cool projects! Wanna see them?

1. Double slider Easter card. The recipient of this card will be wowed when they pull the ribbon to see 2 cards!

2. The "Hello" card featured the long notes card and envelope and the doodle stamps! We stamped our images then colored the images using refill inks and a blender pen.

3. "Friend" card. This card featured the designer paper in the Au Chocolate paper pack. Also, we used eyelets and the cool crop-0-dile eyelet all-in-one hole punch/setter. Sure beats using that hammer and quiet too! If you never used this tool before, you must try it!

4. Photo chipboard frame. This cute frame featured the new cool spiral punch and tab punch. I just love these punches!!

5. The final project was a cute little box that I re-created using the new "Petals" jumbo roller wheel and from a neat pattern adapted from a blog called stamps, paper and scissors created by Jan Tinklenberg.

Whew! That's it for this time...Thanks for visiting!
