Another Tri-fold card

Had fun making another tri-fold card. This was something that just happened as I was trying to create. Don't you just love it when the lightbulb goes on? I do! The measurements of the cardstock is 5 1/2" X 11". Score at 4 1/4" and 8 3/8". I used my cuttlebug embossing folder on the left flap of the card. The ribbon was adhered on the left flap only and I wound the ribbon to meet on the right side of the card. Here is a close-up of the cute image. This is an old image by Juju's Tiny Treasures now known as Create in Me. One of my favorite images cuz it's just so sweet! Here's the inside. I added a piece of vanilla cardstock cut at 4"X5 1/4".
I hope you give it a try, it's really easy! Enjoy your Sunday!

The rest of the album

So here's the rest of Preston's baby album. I really liked the way this page turned out. I was looking for the right embellishment. Found this "family" rub-on by CTMH while I was digging through my embellie stash...had to add a bling to it.
I was really bonding with my pages by now...it's like that every time I make an album for someone. By the time I'm done, I'm attached to it and don't want to give it away!
A close-up of the embellishment. This is a CS sticker by Doodlebug Designs (I think!). Used my new nesties...can you believe that I only got the circle set now?! I've been holding off and now there are more that I want!!!
Birthday invitation. Aren't these photo invitations wonderful? I used my Sizzix alpha die called Boss-O...
Here's the cute Elmo cricut cut...Thanks again, Joy for cutting them out for me!!!
Thanks for looking today! Hope you have alot of fun crafting to do this weekend! I'm cutting kits tomorrow!!

Hello Kitty is in the house!

I mean at J's Knicknacks! Shipment arrived on Friday and there are lots! I'm sure they will be going out like hot cakes over the weekend, so run on over to get yours!! While you're there, check out the huge stack of chipboard Cliff brought in! Perfect for cutting out with the Big Shot or creating your own books and binding them with your bind it all...Happy shopping ladies!!
BTW, had lunch with Cheryl this week, it's been so long yeah Cheryl? Anyway, she brought back some goodies for me. Holy Smokes! I just loved it all!! Can't wait to use the DP, the problem is that they are all so pretty, I can't make up my mind which one to use first!!
Time to sleep, my eye is getting tired and itchy! Where's my eye drops?? I hope you are all able to get your hands on the Kitty dies you want!! Cliff said more are on it's way (different from these).

Preston's baby album Part 2

I know, I know...3 posts in one night?? Told ya, catch up time!!Sorry friends! I've been not been having lots of luck staying out of trouble! Yesterday, somehow, my eye started getting itchy and red and by the time I made it home, my eye was swollen!! So, I boiled an egg and then wrapped it up in a towel and placed it on my eye. This isn't a joke. The heat from the egg lasts for a long time, so I use it as a hot compress for my eye. I swear it brought some comfort to my eye and the swelling came down. Today, I had to go to the eye doctor to check it because I thought I had pink eye! Yuck! It turned out to not be pink eye (yay!). It's an allergy, so I got some special drops and was told to take it easy on my contacts...good thing I have a spare pair of glasses!
Anyway, on to more layouts for the book I made for baby Preston. I love these Sesame Street cricut cutouts! Isn't cookie monster cute!? Love the seahorse and starfish cardstock stickers. I used so many different products from so many companies, it's hard to list them all. Of course, all of these items came from my stash that I've collected over the years.
This is one of my favorite pages. I used to love to put hats on Nolan when he was a baby.
Love this froggy DP. Got it from Cute Stuff.
Isn't Grover cute too? This DP also came from Cute Stuff. I love paper!!
More layouts tomorrow. Thanks for taking the time to come by my blog!! I can't wait til I catch up so I can bluf and read about what you all have been doing!!

Sign up for March Class - Boxes!!

March is right around the corner! Don't you think the time is moving way too fast? Well, a new month means another class! We will be making boxes! I'm so excited with these projects for the March class. Here's what we will be making...please note that these are my samples and not the colors we will be actually making. The DSP will be different too. I promise you will love it!We will be making an acetate box, the ghiradelli chocolate box, the bag with scallop using the XL Sizzix die, the box #2 using another XL Sizzix die, and an origami gift box using the scor-pal (pattern by Vicki Hook) and a box using the Sizzix envelope die. I know that these boxes were not on the proposed class list when I did that list a while ago, but there were so many boxes I wanted to make in this class!! I know you will love the boxes that I selected for you to make!
Now, if you would like to attend this box class, the class will be held on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday March 8. Classes will be open to the first 10 people (for each day) and will be reserved on a first come, first served basis and reservations will be taken via email. The deadline for reservations will be March 4th. Hurry! The classes have been filling up quick! Class fees should be mailed to me prior to the class and I will reply via email to confirm your seat and give you my mailing address. The class fee is $20 and kits only will be available by mail (kit and shipping fees apply).
Please note that this year, I will not be able to stamp the images for you on the kits but will be emailing you photos and additional instructions, links etc. for you to complete the project. You can substitute a different stamp set if you do not own the one that we used for the class. By not taking the extra time to stamp the kits by mail, it will allow me more time to plan the next class since these classes come up so quickly! You will receive all of the materials to complete your project all cut out and separated by project. I will also include a supply list.
Email confirmation with more details will be sent once you RSVP. I'm so excited to share these really fun projects with you!
One of the requirements I ask is that you bring your basic tool kit to the class, mainly the adhesive of your choice. People have asked what is a tool kit. You should bring the tools that you normally use to craft with (scissors, ruler, hole punch, adhesive, paper piercer, double stick tape, glue dots). I will have tools to use for the projects, but having your own tool kit helps move along a little faster.
I look foward to seeing you on March 7 and 8! Announcement for this class will also be sent via email if you are on my email class listing since not everyone visits my blog.

SU Regionals in Hawaii!

What a weekend! So much excitement with the SU Regionals in Hawaii at the Hawaii Convention Center! We were all looking forward to this wonderful event with the anticipation of swapping cards and gifts, learning business builders, watching cool demonstrations and seeing all of our friends! I was on a high and thoroughly enjoyed myself! I made these clipboards with matching pens for my downline girls and some of my friends. Got these cute mini clipboards from my friend, Melita (Thanks Melita! I put them to use!) Also made up some magnetic calendars for some of my friends. Can you tell what is one of my favorite stamp sets of late? Love this Cheep Talk stamp set! I got these magnetic frames from Stamps 'n Memories over in Aiea. I love the small size, just right to put on your fridge or file cabinet at work.
I took tons of photos, so I'll be selecting some to share with you over the next few days mixed in with my other projects, so you don't get bored looking only of pics from Regionals!
The tables sat 6 peeps, and we were lucky to have Jodi sit with us! (Hi Jodi!!)...Here we are with Wini, Jodi and Me...
Here's a pic of my DL girls, (front) Irene and Wini (back) Joyce and Me...
Here I am stressing out on the make 'n take projects. We debated on whether or not to bring our tool kits. Now we know, bring the tool kit. I was so lost without my cutter and scoring blade...thanks Irene for bringing yours! What a lifesaver! The highlight of my day was meeting Shelli and taking photos with her. Here's Wini and Me with Shelli.
I also wanted to take a photo with Shelli and her hubby. Now you can see how small (short!) I am...wish I had a box to stand on! haha!!

I had such a wonderful time! I will be posting more photos from Regionals soon. Sorry for the slow posting, but I am trying to get my March projects in order and special offer on ordering all of our DSP!! Stay tuned...thanks for visiting, I appreciate you!

Scrapbook for Preston

I was asked by a friend to make a scrapbook for her baby who's celebrating his first birthday. I had the photos for a couple of weeks before I even began to work on this project! For some reason, I have to "digest" the photos and the whole concept of the theme before I can actually get a move on. Sounds strange eh? Well, the theme for this birthday is Elmo and Sesame Street so I immediately thought of using the cricut and the SS cartridge. I borrowed this from my GF Cece since Nolan is a teenager now, I didn't want to buy this cartridge, couldn't think of anything to make! I have to send out a huge THANK YOU to my GF Joy who helped me cut out and assemble all of these SS characters. THANK YOU JOY!! What a lifesaver!!
The book turned out having 15 pages, so I'll be posting a bunch at a time. Here's a pic of what my table looked like with all of the photos and supplies. What next?Once I started creating, the ideas started to flow and here are the first 4 pages! My favorite QK die, Frankie lower...the stars are SU punches and the stickers are by Bazzill.
I'm finally using those large scalloped edge papers by Bazzill - can we say collection?? To represent each month, I typed the month and then punched it out using the SU 1 3/4" circle punch and the super jumbo marvy circle punch. Also, for each journaling entry (I made my friend journal on each photo, then I typed them up) I added a star next to it.
Love this Elmo cricut cutout!
The pages get cuter as we move along here...
BTW, Happy Friday! My foot is feeling better today, but I noticed that my toe area is kinda purple in color, strange. I'll be posting more pages tomorrow. Big day for the SU demos tomorrow...we have Regional at the Hawaii Convention Center! Looking forward to a day of stamping, creating and fellowship with my SU friends!! Hope I have time to make a few swaps. I'll be posting pics of my gifts to my DL soon. Thank you for looking in today!

I received my Card! February OCS

What a happy day for me! First off, thank you to all of my kind friends who sent emails checking up on my poor foot :( I spent the morning at Pali Momi Hospital getting my x-ray and waiting, waiting, waiting...you know the drill. The GOOD news is that it is not broken - yay!! But, badly bruised and will take some time to heal and feel better and that Advil will still be my best friend for a while. The thought of my foot having a fracture really bothered me because all I could think about was all the things that I could not do with a cast on my foot. That would really be a drag! The bad news is that because I'm limping around, my calves are starting to ache and my lower back. My son gave me some lessons in stretching so it would make my calves feel better!
Well, the other happy news is that I received my card from the One Card Swap (OCS) from my partner ManLe Hong. ManLe is the owner of Pineapple Cove which is opening up at Kahala Mall very soon! I can't wait! But look at my beautiful card!! Wowza ManLe! I just love my card! I love shoes too, although not as much as my friend Cheryl...Hi Cheryl...are you reading this?? haha! Mainly my reason for not being able to accummulate a collection of shoes is that I can't find my size. I barely wear a women's size 5 and for casual shoes, I buy kids' shoes, size 2 1/2 - can you believe that? I have tiny feet! Oops! Sorry, strayed away from my card here. I love this stamp by Hero Arts, almost bought this set!! I love everything about this card, the color, the CB embossing, color combo...Thank you ManLe! Don't forget, you have until the end of the month to sign up to participate in my one card swap! Reply to my post on the OCS or send me an email.
Thanks again my friends for making me feel so loved - it makes my foot feel so much better! Thanks for visiting me today. I'll be posting the baby scrapbook pages that I made over the weekend. Many hugs to you!

More Hello Kitty dies are here!

Hey everyone! Just letting you know that the new Hello Kitty sizzix dies are in at J's Knicknacks! To see samples that Cheryl created, check out her blog Life is Sweet or Cliff's blog Time to Scrap. So cute! You know you're gonna want to get your hands on the new Kitties!!!

On a roll with Tilda

Well, today I went to the doctor and waited and waited and waited. Boy, there were alot of sick people there! When it was finally my turn, there was no time left for me to go to get the x-ray and get the reading sooooo... guess where I'm going first thing tomorrow morning? The doctor looked at my ow-wie and said it's still swollen but he couldn't tell just by looking at it if it's just a bad bruise. I guess more after the x-ray! His recommendation - Advil!
So, I spent the afternoon coloring a bunch of Tilda images since there's not much I could do while I ice my foot! I made this card for a friend who has a friend that just had open heart surgery. I had no idea where I was going with this card til I started creating but I guess I'm okay with the way it turned out.I was told that there would be alot of people signing this card, so I made it into a sort of tri-fold card.
Back to coloring more images! I'm going to try to color alot so I can make a bunch of just because cards. You just might end up with one!
Thank you for all of the emails that I received with well wishes. You guys are the best and mean alot to me!! More tomorrow!

Tilda card

On my way to the doctor today to check out my foot. The good news is that the swelling has gone down alot, since I kind of fell asleep with the ice bag on my foot. I'll cross my fingers that it's just a bad bruise.
Here's a card I made over the weekend using my Tilda stamps by Magnolia. I just counted and discovered that I have 12 of these Tilda stamps, uh, most not inked!! What am I doing!? So, decided to stamp some and color them. I love coloring! I decided to make this card one of those origami fold cards. I have the tutorial on my sidebar if you'd like to try out this fold. This card was made for my new friend, Summer, who is the owner of Roses on Paper. Check out ROP's website for all of the latest! Here's a look at how the card opens up!
More soon! I'm finishing up my baby scrapbook this afternoon since I'm home today. Take care and as always, thanks for looking in today!!

One Card Swap sign up for March!

It's time to sign up for my One Card Swap for March! This swap is limited to a full card only. No goodies, treats in the card. Just the card! I started this because alot of ladies that I hear from expressed to me that they didn't want to feel obligated to sign up for a rak if it was more than a card. Anyway, February was our first month and we did this OCS on a trial basis. It was a success! Everyone was very positive about it and so here we are doing it again!
So, if you would like to participate in my One Card Swap for March, please leave a comment on this post! Be sure that I can contact you either by a link or you can email me your info. I will need your mailing address and an email address. PLEASE DO NOT POST THIS INFO ON MY BLOG! Privacy is important! Here was my card for the February OCS. There are no real rules, only that the card should be sent no later than the 20th of March. No restrictions on supplies used. But since you are only making one card, make it a "special" card! Something you would be happy receiving! And, if you are running late, (life happens!) be kind enough to email your partner to let her know that she's still getting her card!
Sign ups will close on February 27th! I will send you your partner on the first week of March so that you will have adequate time to create your card! I can't wait to play!
Note: If you already sent me a comment/email on March sign ups, can you please leave a comment on this post as I don't want to miss anyone who wants to join in on the fun! Mahalo!

Valentine's Day treats

Yes, I know it's over, but I didn't have time to post this! I actually finished up my treats at work and of course, forgot my camera. Then, I took pics with my phone and for some reason, the email from my phone to my email didn't work...where is it???? So, here's one of the treats I had at home. I made these cute treats using these tubes that I got from Impress Rubber Stamps. These are sort of like those "test tubes" that I got from Stamps 'n Memories, only these are lighter weight plastic and are cheaper. I stamped my favorite Dandelion Stamp, the mouse with rose and made a simple tag. That's it! These went to my co-workers and my tellers at the FCU. Also made some for the girls at Joy's office.
I have a couple more raks to post, probably sometime this week. I was super busy this weekend planning March's class project and also I made a baby scrapbook in one afternoon...photos this week too!! Thanks for sharing my day!

What NOT to do with a crop-a-dile

Well, after a wonderfully busy 3-day weekend, I'm sad to say that I have a boo-boo that I could do without. This morning after I finished a card for one of my friends who I ride the bus with, my dad was calling out the time for me to move my butt into gear so I could put on my shoes and be at the bus stop and I was moving right along until I decided to move my craft tote from the table back to the floor where I usually keep it. Well in that process, my crop-a-dile just jumped right out of my bag and onto MY FOOT!! Ow-weeee!! I fell to the floor in excruciating pain! But I had to get up and put on my shoes to go to work. I didn't even think about the pain until I got off the bus and hopped to work. Then the swelling...OMG, I was beginning to think, is my toe broken?? Yikes! I couldn't get an appointment with the doctor today, but had to come home early since Eric could pick me up from work instead of me limping to the bus stop...I spent the rest of the afternoon with my foot elevated and iced and yes, the advil. Doctor appointment tomorrow, will cross my fingers that I'll live (haha!) Oh, here's what my foot looked like this afternoon. It actually looks like the area is getting darker now as it is after 9 PM. Thanks for listening to my drama.....

Taking time to be thankful

I have so much to be thankful for! I've accummulated these awesome raks, so I apologize for not acknowledging them sooner! Got this cute little candy holder from my friend Jean. Jean is a CTMH consultant and when she gave me the latest catty, she also included this cute candy holder. I saw this on her blog and asked for a pattern, so in addition to the pattern, she made me a sample. So sweet! Thanks Jean!! Hope you are not stressing outt too much at Leg! Ahhh, the sweet Valentine's gift...this came from my GF Michelle. She decorated this cute jar with our favorite girl, Miss Kitty and she put all kinds of cute gifts inside of the jar! I only had 3 heart chocolates by the time I took this photo...it was too tempting t not eat some first!! Michelle always finds the cutest things to make and she shares them with us!! Thank you Michelle! I love my gift! I know that Valentine's Day is already "pau" but I have something for you too!!
This next awesome rak came from my GF Enjoli! Enjoli was able to attend my February class as she was on island that weekend. She is always so thoughtful and gives the nicest gifts!! She made this cute box purse in a larger size, neat! It was filled with all kinds of craft treats and she even gave a jar of cookies from Kona! Thank you so much Enjoli, not only for this rak but for your friendship as well!
Look at the cute 'n cuddly gifts I got from Nicky!! Nicky handcrafted these cuties! I just love them both! Thank you so much for these jars! And thanks for coming to my class too!

I just love these goodies I got from Dawne! I love Heidi Swapp! How did you know?! Can't wait to use my SMILE stamp and those flowers are so pretty!! Thanks for coming to the class too! Can't wait til we craft together again.

Thank you all for blessing me with these wonderful gifts. Also, thank you all for visiting me here, the support is overwhelming and I appreciate YOU!
