Treats holder tutorial

As promised, here is a tutorial (my version) for the treats holder. You can adapt this treat holder to almost any item you want to wrap up, you just gotta figure out the measurements. For this tutorial, the treats were the fundraiser brownies. You can also use the same measurements for those conversation sweethearts candies (the boxed ones). You will need a piece of 4 1/2" X 8 1/2" cardstock. For the candy box (like the box I made with the Anya Mermaid stamp a few posts back), you might want to cut the cardstock 4 1/4" X 8 1/2". Score the cardstock at 2", 2 3/4", 5 1/4" and 6" so it looks like this:Crease all folds so it looks like this:
Put adhesive on both edges as shown:
Seal the box.
Punch a hole on both sides of the box. Here, I used the horizontal slot punch, you could use just the regular hole punch.
Next, cut a length of ribbon and wrap it around your item that you are going to put inside the treat holder. I used a brownie for my treat.
Insert the brownie and ribbon in the holder as shown:
Bring the ribbon through the hole from the inside to the front of the treat holder as shown:
Bring the ribbon from the inside to the outside on both sides of the treat holder like this:
Tie your ribbon at the top. Now when you pull your ribbon up, the treat will come up to the top. Have fun!
Thank you for visiting today. I'm appreciating all of your wonderful comments. Thanks to my friends who have made appearances and left me comments! They mean alot to me because now I know you are reading my blog! haha! Let me know how you liked this tutorial and be sure to let me know when you made some treat holders so I can check it out!

How funny. I made some thing similar to this for the kids that I work with at church and for some of Zachy's classmates for Valentine's Day. Instead of the brownie treat, I put a box of candy hearts in it. Just wrapped the box like you did, but without the string. I wrapped it in pink too. :)

Hey Teri, thank you for taking the time and blessing us with this tutorial. It's great and so user friendly. Those fundraising brownies are the best. So chewy and yummy.

BTW...love that hello kitty. Is is a stamped image or digi?
